Default good enough....

I know AP and Alcon have very similar designs (also the Brembo gt's). You really can't go wrong with any of them I guess I would just love the nogaro alcon lettering on silver calipers with nogaro hats on the rotors. Just think when STaSIS showed that off on a car it looked soooooo hot. Best of luck.

Default The Stasis 355 kit has near the same torque as the OEM B5 320 because...

the Stasis total piston area is smaller then OEM. A larger rotor gives more torque with all things equal. Now use the same chart to compare the Stasis 4 piston 332 kit to the 355 kit and you will see the 332 has less front torque with all other things equal. The 355 will also shed heat better. So your AP kit with a smaller then stock rotor must have a larger piston area in order to keep front brake torque the same. Pressure = force x area. Increasing your overall piston area at a given pressure will result in an overall drop in force. So you will need to apply more brake pressure to clamp your brakes with the same force as OEM.

P.S. World Challenge cars only run for an hour - not 24 hours

That's the idea. The area of the 4 piston is much larger than the single piston OEM.

not ideal. You want it to be the same but in the case of a smaller rotor pistons must be larger

Default Dont forget it's the same rotor size as on the the 3700lb B7 A4 that uses an inferior caliper...

and cooling (the same caliper as on the B6 S4). Basically what you have is a car that is the same weight now or lighter than the B7 A4 that is using the 330mm rotor and same calper as the B6 S4 except I am now using a much more advanced cooling design and also a higher efficiency caliper. It works out well. Stopping from 102mph repeatedly is without fade and with superb modulation. We'll see about 140mph in March but for now it's great. If for some reason more brake is needed i'll keep y'all updated, but as of yet there is no indication of sacrificing a weight penalty for anything larger. cheers! mike
