The Treg is a great SUV. I have the V8 so power is not an issue. Completely different from the S4 though. Not nearly as much space in the Wagon as the Treg. I would not realy consider the Wagon for kids. The back seat is a little too tight with two Britax car seats. Without the kids the Wagon would be a no brainer.

We have the S4 sedan and a Treg - even more of a no-brainer. S4 is for sheer driving pleasure. Treg is fun too, but mostly very practical for household matters. The Treg V8 is very responsive and driving it doesn't feel sluggish at all (as was last beloved SUV: old body style LandCruiser - most classic, beautiful, tough looking truck ever), but no comparison to the sheer joy of the S4.

problem with the back seat - in fact they LOVE the alcantara- even two carseats should be fine - but once they are out of carseats it is no problem (we never had carseats in it - but had twoin a e36 M3 four door)
