My first question was what his take was re: warranty. To which is reply was kind of funny in that he was showing me how he changes the settings w/ the GIAC chip and said even if he didn't go back to stock mode it was unlikely the guys in the bays would know any difference anyhow. He had the Labree DPs and a Matrix exhaust(?), no intake yet. He noted that the exhaust & DP's of course made a big impact but that the chip seemed marginal with some difference. but he also had a tank full of 100 octane and was in the hi-octane mode too.

Anyhow, I thought the warranty thing was funny but of course I'm sure if push came to shove, if anyone's going to get work done via warranty it's going to be an audi sales guy.

Default it's up to the service dept wether they will warranty his car.. I know a guy from AW that worked..

as a sales guy at a local dealer.. His car is heavily modded. His service dept still warrantied his car, but eventually cracked down on him.. They wouldn't warranty his clutch..

What was his name. This man sounds oddly familiar. Didn't think he was in sales though.

Default Keep in mind that you would have the same issues he has with the full exhaust...

they can say the downpipes altered the parameters of the engine and yadda yadda, it's your fault. Still would have to prove you case just as Secure is doing. Sucks, but FYI.
