Default iPod connection to S4 with Nav Plus

My new S4 has arrived. Now I want to connect in my iPod.. I have the Navigation Plus unit.

Can anyone tell me whether there is an external "line in" type connection on the nav plus? Or whether there is a CD Changer emulator that is compatible with the Nav Plus?

I've done a bit of searching but I figured if anyone knew it'd be you guys!

Best wishes
James

Default I have looked into this as well...

As far as I know, the only way would be to diconnect your glove box cd changer and instead hook up an adapter to your Nav+ unit, such as the one from Denison (Ice Link) or NeoIOn . You can then plug your ipod into these adapters but you would lose the CD changer. Some people have built an AB switch that allows you to change between the CD changer and the adapter on older audio systems. However, the IceLink is not yet compatible with the MMI (according to the Denison web-page). NeoIOn recently replied to my email saying that their adapter should work. I am still waiting for somebody to confirm this.

Hi,

I didn't get the glove box CD changer because I knew I would be connecting up my ipod :-).

An ice link dealer in the UK here tells me that the ice link has just been upgraded to support the nav+ unit (he told me to order a VW version, rather than an audi version - for "Delta6, Golf V/Touran (RCD300/500/RNS), Touareg"). He says he has Nav+ in his car and it works fine. I have asked if they'll give me my money back if it doesn't fit.

The NeoIon guys have told me that their version works too, but I'm not convinced they've understood what I've got in my car.

I was hoping someone else had tried it first :-)

I posted a message over in the A4 B7 forum as well, I'll go check there too ;-)

Default I'm also waiting for someone to try it first..

If it doesn't happen soon, I'll just go for it. Thanks for that info.

If the ice link dealer here in the UK offers me my money back, I'll go for it... then I'll be sure to let you know! :-)
