Default Not sure. Might have closed it on something. I wanted you to see it's not a true CF hood.

It's fiberglass with a CF overlay.

Default Yes I know but they have a $200 option for a complete CF hood that weighs another 2 lbs less...

I ordered the full CF hood and since they have to make it for me, I told them to be careful when they apply the resin as to not use too much and keep the hood as light as possible.

They told me just the resin application can cause a +/-2 lbs in weight variation in the finished product.

We will see when I get my hood.

BTW, here's how far I stripped my rear left door and I intend to do the same with the others.

Default I'm told as long as the OEM safety belts and air bags are in it's OK...

So the OEM belts are staying in and so are the steering and front air bags.

I'm sure they don't know and probably don't care for the seat air bags and the curtain airbags. Keep in mind a full roll cage is going in.

The car will be a lot safer when I'm finish then in its OEM state.

Safer, yes, but only when you wear helmet. Roll cage w/o helmet is very dangerous.

Default And what's wrong with wearing a helmet on the road? :-) But seriously...

I have a racing seat which keeps me from moving and the side bars are pretty far away and so is the top one.

It is an ongoing debate same as wearing a 6 point harness without a roll bar.
