Default John Deere Yellow same as Imola Yellow!

FILE IN: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME

Yes, it's true. Blasphemous but true.

Someone side-swiped me two weeks before I move to Maine. Damage to a rear quarter panel, very driveable, but ugly nonetheless. Since I had lots of bare metal exposed, will be driving to a salt-heavy region in the winter, in conjunction with a ~8 week delay in a repair, I thought I'd cover it with some primer.

My dad just happened to have some "looks like it matches" yellow paint. Happened to be John Deere Yellow. After prepping the surface, masking, & airbrushing it on, it appeared an extraordinarily similar match (subjectively speaking...it'd make me cry to post a pic).

So, FYI, you can buy a gallon of JD Yellow for the price of a vial of Audi Imola Yellow Touch up paint.

PS. I know the thought of an Imola Yellow S4 on a farm is a very distant match.

Default Oh yes, I bought the S4 with food stamps at K-Mart. Are you a pikey too?

I could have let it rust.

Can you read?

Default I've said this before: I'm the only Maine resident allowed on this forum.

J/K. Welcome to Maine.

I must admit that I'm confused by your post though. Where have you taken the car that has an 8-week back log for repair and repaint? That is just absurd -- particularly so at this time of year.

If you're in the Portland area and having the work done through an insurance claim, I'd suggest having car repainted at Frank Galos down in Saco. They do excellent paintwork. Morong does not.
