Default Just got my first 5000 mile service today.

I was told by a couple of service guys there that I could have and should have pushed for service at 3000 miles. I told them I did try but when I called the service department wouldn't budge. They were suprised. Otherwise, no problems and car felt stronger on the way home. Anyway, thought I would pass the 3000 mile recommendation down but not sure if it's really necessay.

Why would I push for a 3K service ? Why would they give me a 3K service ?

I don't believe so. If I can confirm it I'll let you know.

Default Not sure if you should, maybe someone else can answer that. They will give you 3k service at many

service departments assuming you will continue their recommended service times after 5k. It's not like your getting an extra service in, just doing the first a little earlier.

Default Does the service paperwork show how much oil they used?

We have seen several conflicting pieces of info on whether it takes 9.5 or 11.5 Qts of oil.
