See my post a few days ago about improper installation of the K-MAC's
Not saying that the installer did it incorrectly, but I've heard several accounts knocking with the K-MACs, then spoke to a local installer. His experience has shown that if not installed correctly, the K-MACs WILL knock, just as you are experienceing. bsrpilot (I think it was him) had your exact dilemna.
FWIW, I've had the KMAC's for close to two months and have had no issues.
