KSport or FK Coilovers: junk or not that bad?

KSport or FK Coilovers: junk or not that bad?
Second mod on the new Avant (first was the Milltek exhaust it came with!!) is going to be a set of coilovers---gotta get her dropped down to a proper level. I mwould love to get the Bilstein PSS9's, of course, but holy sheep sh*t---1500 bucks? "Can't hang wit dat." I see ones like the "Tein Basic" setup out there for like 950 (have heard its junk), and then others like the FK's or KSports---wondering if anybody has had good luck with these? I know people who have run FK's before and liked them. Your opinions?

Stay away from FK, mine stripped one day when I hit a bump....
The collar actually slipped down on one side of the C/O locking it in place..Replaced the JUNK with a set of Vogtland and absolutely loved them...Ride like stock, just a touch stiffer, but with a better feel for the road...

Not too many options sub $1k.
The higher-end options from Stasis (ohlins) are very popular on this board and worth every cent, IMO. Others have had good experience with PSS9's and Vogtland GT's from Startup Racing.
The Startup Racing GT setup might be the least expensive option that actually improves handling (via higher, linear spring rates). Though for a lot of people, if you're already spending $1500, you might as well spend the extra $500 and get the Stasis SL's.
