Default Local Audi Dealer offering to fill up tires with nitrogen.......

For $100.
They are saying it impoves handling and braking.

When did this go mainstream? I thought it was for racing?

Default Costco does it for free... for $100, I'll not pee in your gas tank, deal?

nitrogen supposedly leaks out the tire slower than air so it will keep the tire pressure longer.

but to ask $100 for it is like McDonald's charging extra for ketchup.

I got my tires/nitrogen from Costco, but they're incompetent. They damaged my car when attempting to lift it in order to replace the tires. Plus, I like to run a certain pressure in my tires (namely what is posted on the door), yet they are not willing to fill it up properly. They will only fill it within +5 psi of the door emblem when the tires are hot, although it requires +7-9 psi when hot in order to get the tires to the correct psi when cold. Personally, I will not deal with them again.

Default Bring it to the attention of the manager. I'd be shocked if they didn't make it right.

Costco's costumer service is top notch.

For the record, my local Costco tire guys are fantastic and true car enthusiast.

I thought the only reason to use nitrogen was because a molecule of nitrogen was bigger than oxygen and it will not seep out of the tire as fast so your tire pressure is more stable. Im I wrong?
