Default There is.... when they reflash... it will tell them the existing code is not stock and

to warn client that they will lose their aftermarket coding.

Default Never been the case here. Here is it hooked up to our dealer scan tool...

I've logged hundreds of times on these chips. A lot of this stuff is rumor. Here is a scan session with the VAS 5051...

I've had the car flashed back to stock 3 times. No problems. Goes very smoothly. Did you have something different happen?

Default Please explain what the benefit of the chip is on the B7 S4....

I know Garrett..and Jeff....and have a custom chipped A4 1.8T from them..it works very well...however, I still think the chips for normally aspirated cars are very little benefit. Help change my mind about this perception. Thanks.

Well, there aren't any benefits. Some will argue vehemently <to defend the $500 spent>.

Default I'd have to really consider it if I had to spend $500.

I gained ~10hp and 17 ft lbs at the wheel, and got a great deal on the flash before a lot of the regulars on this board even had their s4s, so that's why I did it.

I really enjoy the improved throttle response (not a DBW fix by any means), for it just makes the heavy car a bit quicker to get up and go when you step on it. Makes it, in essence, feel a bit lighter.

Also, what the hell would I have an S4TUNED license plate for if I weren't going to go all out? ;-)

For performance, let's talk sway bars. The improvement is for real.

Do the sway bars affect the ride in normal driving?

Yeah....it flattens all the turns. Otherwise no, none whatsoever. Best bang for the $.
