low gas warning - it comes on and I fill up but....
I only get 13.7 gallons in - yet the computer says I only have 30 mi left to empty. I wonder if the 30 ni is a countdown to the reserve and at zero you still have 2 gallons reserve left. anyone know? anyone ever run the computer down to zero? if so how many gallons go in?

the car has a 1.5gal reserve....
depending on gas milage the miles remaining will be different. Its set to show gallons remaining not miles. It comes on with 2 gallons left I believe. And you have a 1.5 Gallon Reserve.

You really shouldn't run your tank that low...
The fuel pumps in modern cars are fully submersible and are cooled by the fact they are in the gas.
When you get below about ¼ tank the fuel pumps are exposed to air and they run hotter than usual, shortening their lives...
