Lowest reading on thermometer ? I was hoping to go minus this am, but only got to 2 above

I was driving to Tremblant (Quebec) last winter to do some skiing, and the reading was at -30 Farenheightat 10:30 PM. The next morning all of the cars that were parked outside didn't start, and even my s4 barely rolled over.

Yes, it goes negative. I think my lowest was -15 or so... and I've seen pics of lower.
Funnny thing-- the snowflake does disappear, but I can't recall at what temp.

I'm a MN person... hasn't been that cold in the Mpls/St Paul area this year...
I think the coldest it's been is about -15 to -18 this year...
We need some people from "up nort" to give the lowdown on some really cold temps!!
