A quick clarification:
Regarding what the numbers on the tire mean:
The second number (the aspect ratio) has nothing to do with the diameter of the wheel. This is the height of the sidewall of the tire, expressed as a percentage of the width of the tire.
A 225/40/18 tire will have a sidewall height of 225*0.40 = 90 mm.
