Default Memory Seat Moron

First off, I love this board. Everyone seems really cool and helpful so far.

So I will freely admit that I must be a moron. I got my '05 Cab a few days ago (no owner's manual) and the last thing I can't figure out is how to program my seat position into memory. I have tried every combination of holding buttons and pressing them in different order to no avail.

How hard can this be? There's only two frickin' buttons and 4 memory spots. Can you guys help a moron out?

Default From my manual:

"Storing a Seat Position"

Before you can store your seat position, the STOP button must be engaged (pushed in),

Press the MEMO button and hold it down. At the same time, press one of the memory buttons for at least one second.

Release the buttons. The seat and outside mirror positions are now stored on that memory button.

(paraphrasing here) To recall the seat position press and hold the button (1-4) that you selected for the specific driver's memory settings until the seat and mirrors are set in place.

(EDIT: I should mention that I have programmed 2 settings on my 04, and I don't recall pushing the STOP button when I set either of them, as the manual suggests. So perhaps that is a step you can skip? *shrug*)

That should work! Good luck.

Default The 04 manuals are wrong.

Like you suggested, the STOP button is un-necessary.

Default Thanks VH!

I will try it out. I think where I was going wrong was not holding down the numbered button. I just assumed you could quickly hit it and the seat would go into place.

Default on the B6 if the door is open you don't have to hold it down, just press the number

once and the seat will recall that memory setting...

i believe it only works when you first unlock the car and open the door

you can also assign a Key Fob a specific memory setting (has to be one already stored in memory 1-4) and if you unlock the car with one key fob, then lock it... then with the other key fob, unlock it and open the door, the seat will go to the new location...
