My dealer learned from AoA that the # of early allocations of Avants are severely limited compared to the # for sedans. They said the reason they still don't have a build week for me, despite mine being the first order, is that out of the first batch of allocations, only one Avant was allocated to all of New England, and it went to some lucky SOB in Vermont.

to have build week 24/2003. Maybe I am. Any other Avant buyers with early build weeks?

My dealer got an initial allocation of 3 sedans and 1 6-sp Avant. I was actually 3rd in line for an Avant, but the first 2 wanted automatics so mine got ordered first.

I'd love to hear what you got for a build week.

My dealer wasn't fully clued in on what their allocation was, they thought they had an allocation, and later found they didn't.

What state are youin, btw?

I honestly was surprised when I heard that I ended up first in line. I wandered into my dealer 2 weeks ago and expected to be reserving a slot for a late fall delivery at best. The salesman said I was 9th in line overall (no surprise there) and that I would be waiting for a while - unless I wanted a stick shift wagon. Startled, I said well yes, I actually do want a 6-sp wagon and suddenly found myself first in line given the allocation Audi had given the dealership.

Apparently the specs for the dealer allocations are general as to the options, but specific as to 6-sp vs automatic.

I will request updated info from my salesman and see what he says. I only learned this last week that the order had definitely been placed at the factory and I haven't bothered to follow up on more specific dates yet.
