Default sorry i meant Newtons using Newton Meters to figure out the speed...

my bad for not being clearer. I am also fairly sure it uses forces not speed since it cant measure speeds of other things hitting the car. It also can depend alot of angular momentum ( since it was a t-bone from a turn). Also the skid marks left would indicate a lot more about how the forces were recieved by both cars. My guess is the moment of impact was a lot less then the impact spread over time. If thats true, that could cause alot of damage but the air bags wouldnt go.

Default Volunteer since I was 16....

yes I have no life.... I have helped do some accident reconstruction with my townships team at some bad accidents and have learned a lot from it. Then again they just take measurements and use a special computer program to figure everything out.

I have an Imola and was rear ended my second month of ownership. If they are not paying attention it doesn't matter if your care glows.

Default I am going to fight to get S4 totaled..

body shop says maybe it is totaled. have to tear it down to look at floor pan and measure frame to be sure. will find out next week. I want a new one.
