Default My New (To Me) 2006 Audi S4, Need Your Advice. (long)

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/14966/s4side.jpg">
So today I came back from vacation to find my newly acquired 2006 Audi S4 in my garage. I bought a new B5 S4 in 2001, and missed the car sorely after I sold it in 2005.

I found a 2006.5 Audi S4 on Lease trader that a nice gentleman was trying to get off of his hands because he was moving to New York City. Apparently the car was originally owned by someone in New Jersey who didn't make their car payment, and the car was repossessed, and then leased by this man I came in contact with. The gentleman I assumed the lease the from said that the dealership installed these "OEM" wheels and new rollbars for him, but he never mentioned anything with regards of spring or suspension modification (which seems obvious to me).

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/14966/audiback.jpg">

The car was shipped by Dependable Auto Shippers on a covered carrier, and when I saw it in my garage (my friend picked it up for me), I noticed some damage to my rear wheel that was not previously there (a friend saw the car on the east coast before it was shipped). I've already called them to make a claim.

I would love any and all input on the following:

1. Should I get new RS4 rims, or try to have these fixed? The place here in San Diego wants $150-175; I wonder if buying a new wheel would be an easier fix. I was somewhat concerned about where to obtain the new matching wheel, as this gentleman thinks that these are OEM wheels (and I have my doubts about that).

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/14966/wheeldetail1.jpg">
2. To tint or not to tint? A guy in town does all of the cars for our local exotic car dealership, and he has offered to put 3M Crystalline tint on my car for $400 (usually $800, per his report). I wanted your thoughts on whether to tint at all, and if so, what your feelings were on this new nanotechnology-based tint.

Thanks in advance for any words of advice, suggestions, etc.

Default Just switch it with the full size spare

Hopefully the dealer gave you an RS4 spare too. Keep the damaged rim as the spare and use the money for tint.

Those aren't factory wheels, that probably won't work

Default those are RS4 reps. Just pick one up, or a whole set...

they are inexpensive.

If you're going tint, and paying that much, make sure it's nano-ceramic like that Huper-Optik stuff I got for my S4.

Default Beautiful car; it's too bad about the wheels :(

It definitely has suspension though! See you around San Diego

Take a wheel off and look for the Audi part number on the inside of the wheel.

They are 19" and the only 19" RS4's came on the RS4. And they don't fit the S4 well.

Default It is most likely a replica. The Audi RS4 wheels have the wrong offset fro the S4

Check out Velocity Motoring for a replacement and put the damaged wheel on for a spare. Unless you happen to have an RS4 wheel for a spare as well. You could even repair it yourself<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext43.shtml">DIY wheel repair</a></li></ul>

Default New Wheels

Just buy some new wheels and sell those.
If you put em up in the Audizine classified they'll go pretty quick. Get some quality wheels instead.

BTW, whats a 2006.5?
I know there is a 2005.5 never heard of the 2006.5
