is new 300 HP BMW 535it -wagon competition to the S4 Avant?
BMW will put the twin turbo 300 hp and 300 torque inline six in the new 525xit - with a 6 speed manual option and AWD standard. the car should bget to 60 mph in mid-fives. what do you think?

it also weighs about the same.....mid 5's is probably conservative too.......
the 335's are in the 4.9 range already, would not be surprised to see 535's in the mid 5's allday long

Curb Weight 5wagon =3858 lbs.
S4 Avant =3936 lbs
Horsepower 536ixt 300 HP @ 5800 RPM
Torque 300 @ 1400 RPM
S4: 340hp @ 7000 RPM 302tq @ 3500 RPM
S4 Avant =3936 lbs
Horsepower 536ixt 300 HP @ 5800 RPM
Torque 300 @ 1400 RPM
S4: 340hp @ 7000 RPM 302tq @ 3500 RPM

my 335 AT does 4.8 to 60 all day long.
Bone stock.
It's getting a full exhaust and LSD in the next few weeks.
A software upgrade and it'll be making 400hp and 425 ft/lbs.
I'll have dyno numbers this weekend with just the exhust.
When the LSD goes in, in two months, it'll be FAST off the line and out of the corners.
It's a great motor and the last 2K miles have been some of the funnest !
This will be a great wagon !

If you like the looks, it's a great car.
It's no secret that BMW has done a bangup job with the new TT6. And driving dynamics are going to be typical BMW great. It boils down to a question of, Can you deal with (or like) the looks?
