The new cts-v seems to be the s4 and m3 killer.

In the past few years BMW and Audi have faced so much competition. First it was Lexus(IS300), then Infiniti(G35), Volvo(300hp for 36k) and now it's a Caddy. The competition is closing in real fast and if Audi and BMW don't step it up soon they will fall behind. Look at the M5, it was king 2 years ago but now it's a real close battle. I think in 2005, 2006 we will see Audi, BMW, and Lexus show what they are made of and blow the competition out of the water. If the Caddy is fully loaded for 45k, jeez watch out. Personally I'm waiting for Lexus to come out with thier IS430, if it ever comes out. The best thing about all this is that we, the consumer comes out the winner.

Most cars with this much hp are at least 275mm in width. I guess that's the widest they could fit without going with the widebody kit. Probably mainly to keep the cost down.

My parents bought a CTS 3 weeks ago. They are in love with it. I like the exterior styling, and the interior quality very good and isn't as bad as some on this board claim it to be. I would guess that most of you ******* on the interior quality haven't even been inside one.
Why do there have to be so many good cars that have come out or are coming out, they keep making new car descision more difficult:
G35 Sport Coupe
RX-8
and now the CTS-V
I will just have to wait to see how the RX-8 drives.

You will never see magazine editors complain about ride harshness as they did with the M3 and S4. It is that German "ness" that I love about these cars. It is how I want them to feel. A Cadillac, no matter how fast, won't every quite have that. Dropping an LS1 in all of their cars does not an //M or S make.

The LS6/LS1 weighs 497.2 lbs with the flywheel and clutch, 457.6lbs without.
According to Audi the S4 engine weighs 195kg which coverts 429.9lbs. I do not know if this has the wieght of the fly wheel and clutch included.
Depending on whether the Audi has the flywheel and clutch it is about a 6%-14% difference in weight.
Hp to weight is 1.14lb or 1.24lb per hp for the LS6 and 1.25lb per hp in the S4.

it feels the same way all of the people posting about how they already know how the B6 S4 feels, drives and handles.
I hope you can sense my sarcasm.
