Default New front brake pads fixed a "loose chain" like rattle I have been chasing for a while ?

Hard to believe it could be the worn pads rattling around in the calipers but I have no other explanation.
I noticed that the connectors for the pad wear indicators were a bit loose in the mounts so I tyewrapped them tighter also.
The rattle is gone.

Others have posted this as a possible rattle source but I did not think it was true..until now.

My pads had 40k and had still not tripped the brake warning light. I did it myself in about 1.5 hours in my driveway. No special tools needed.

Tried to get the S4 logo brake springs but they are on national backorder with maybe a 6 month wait ?

Did you change fronts only? How did the rear pads look?

Default Mine do it over almost every little bump now ...

It's really only a minor annoyance but I'm almost looking forward to replacing the pads in the Spring to get rid of it.

rears looked fine, less than 20% wear, as I expected to find.
