Default New S4 Avant or new 2002 S6?..... comments please.

I was planning on buying a new s4 Avant, but my dealer still has a nicely equipped 2002 S6 in silver/black on the lot. It has only 300 miles on it and has been put in the Audi cetified program so it has the 6yr/100K warranty. The dilemma is that I can likely buy the S6 with the better warranty (original sticker on the car was 62K)for less than I can get the new S4. This is making for a very tough decision. The only downside to the S6 I can see is the Tip transmission. I would prefer a 6 speed. Any comments to help sway me one way or the other would help.
Thanks,
Pat

Default If you need the larger size of the S6, consider it, but why only 300 miles...

...was it a demo car? If so, how many test drives has it been thrashed on?

Default It was not a demo, but has been test driven by prospective buyers.

However, people looking at S6s are not 20 something kids that are beating the car. Also, it has the 6yr/100K warranty, so I should be covered if anything does go wrong.

300 miles is a lot of test drives though...

Default An '02 is already pretty depreciated...

Buying a new '02 still makes it an '02 and worth about 30% less than you'll pay for it. Also, this is the last year of the A6 body style while the A4 still has some life in it. I'd stick with the S4.
