Default Hey Skrill, you found me. I have a verbal from a

BMW dealership for a similar discount. I actually have contracts with a BMW and a Mercedes dealership and have good working relationships with both stores. I will not have the same problem buying either of those cars, but the audi is the only V8 6 speed.

Default if it was a car on the lots I could see... but an ordered car....

give me a break. Its people dealing like this who bring the value of the car down.

Default I custom ordered ny A6 4.2 in '01...

and negotiated a great discount. Keep in mind this was EARLY 2001 and the market was still pretty strong. Also, as I recall, the 4.2 version of the A6 only sold ~2k models in the US, which also makes it rather rare - relatively speaking, of course (it's not an Enzo - nor is an S4).

Discounts can and should be had. Dealers will hold out at MSRP+ as long as people show up begging for a car - at any cost - the minute the thing hits the showroom. Sort of the cost of being the first guy on the block to have one.

Default where are you located?

You're getting about $2,000 off?

In West L.A. they're charging over sticker. Just like the old S4 and every other nice sports car. F--kin Crooks!!!

Default Please post pics of your M3....

...How'd you get $3K off sticker? In SoCal?

My lease on my '01 S4 is up in a year and I'm strongly considering getting an E46 M3 in silver- gray/imola red. Don't you just love that red interior??!!!!??!! Sporty, unique, and just like the great classic Porsche 356 speedsters and MB SL's of the '50's to '70's!!

I've only seen a cab in this color combo in West L.A. Mad props to you.

Appreciate exterior/interior picks. I wanna see what the car looks like as a whole in this combo. Anything will be appreciated.

Oh, any reason why I should get the M3 over the new S4?

Thanks a lot!!!

Default My pics suck because I suck as a photographer -- but here you go

As for the discount -- like I said. I was able to get a local Socal dealer to do a courtesy delivery (cost me $500 -- but half was paid by the New Hampshire dealer).

The NH dealer sold me the car for $2k over invoice price -- optioned the way I have it, it save me about $3k off sticker. I can give you his name -- but he has already told others I have referred to him that he will no longer do $2k over invoice, and will not do any more non-local sales (I guess he may have gotten some heat because of this deal).

My Fotki
