I have the one from Harbor Freights for $79. Have had no problems.

I bought the 1.5 ton Craftsman aluminum jack...

I couldn't justify the additional $80 or so for the 2 ton model, and at the time, I hadn't seen the 2 ton go on sale (I watched weekly for about six months). A month or so after I bought, they had the 2 ton for $150. Pissed me off...

Just got back from a lunchtime run @ sears

and I'm most likely going to buy the 1.5 ton (3000lbs) aluminum racing jack you speak of.

looks great 119 bucks, guaranteed for life and super good looks and functionality, (i.e. padded handle, and really folds up compact.

now if there were only a sale! but for 120 it's where I'm going!
