I was looking at tirerack for some tire pricing, and I found that the Goodyear F1s are less expensive then the stock Contis. Ok, why is this? Are the Contis better then the F1s? I would have thought it would have been the other way around...thoughts?

I can get Toyo T1-S from edgeracing for $187/tire.
Goodyear F1s at $210/tire.
The falkens that I have on the car are $168/tire.
Falken GRBs are $175/tire.
Can't decide.
But if price says anything, then the stockers ($244/tire) are the best of the lot. ????

go with the F1's or the T1-s's. I drove on both tires and PS1's. I thought the PS1's were as good as both and with rumors the PS2's were better. Then seeing them on a Ferrari and P-car GT2. I was sold. The F1 has an interesting tread pattern, a TT owner i talked to loved them.

He said they were "OK". I thought they were supposed to be off the hook! According to TireRack's road test, the F1's were higher then the S-03's, but not as high as the PS2s.

the PS2's are off the hook. They grip and go. I have done a lot of stupid things in corner with them and they just lock into the corner. I have yet to push them to their threshold. i think they would be even better on 18's in a 245
