Okay B6 vets..what kind of oil consumption have you experienced?

I don't care what anyone says burning 1 quart per 1k miles is NOT normal.
Of course the dealer will tell you that if that is what you're experiencing. How does that explain others who don't burn a single drop of oil? Now I've only got around 3,500 miles but the oil is still full. I dunno, just seems odd to me.

The MANUFACTURER says its normal not the dealer. A lot has to do with driving style....
I redline or close to it, a lot. My Acura used to use a smilar amount of oil and Honda Canada also confirmed that it was normal when driven hard.
When my wife drives the S the consumption drops considerably.
And up here they say 1 liter per 1K KM is normal, which is even more than a QT per 1K Miles.

Does the B6 S4 have a oil change indicator that tells you to change when it detects the oil is shot.
