Newbury Street..... Lots of great resteraunts. If you looking for a good sports bar.....
Jillians is a happening place. North end is great for dinner and down town boston around the duck pond is worth walking around one night, in the winter its rather beautiful. Where are you staying?

if you go to newbury st... hit the capital grill. great steaks... busy bar scene... indian try kashmir (very good food) also, if you like mediterrainian, try "tapas".
the northend is fun to walk around. another couple great restaurants (but also pricey) "mama maria".. get the rabbit, it's fantastic, or LUCCA.
a new place opened near my office called MEZE, it's just over the bridge from the northend. more mediterrainian. the food is great. always a fun/full bar... and it has the most unbelievable looking bartender (female... that just didn't sound right). she is worth the trip alone.
these places are all fairly high-end. if you are just looking for some comfortable pubs let me know. guessing from a look in your garage, you can swing a good meal once in a while.
have fun.
