paging Karrera4 and other ipod/dension users:
how do you skip from one playlist to the next?
I left the instructions with the installer, found that if I push the cd +/- buttons sometimes the ipod will display the list of playlists...then scrolling through the tracks scrolls through the lists...but can't get it to select one
The buttons on the ipod don't do anything when it's in the cradle - that's supposed to happen right?

You should be able to select playlists from the 1-6 cd selection buttons--although i haven't had time to organize playlists yet.
As far as accessing the Ipod UI while linked, there is a certain way. I would mess with the buttons as much as possible keeping good attention to the ipod screen itself and the jog dial on your infotainment.

When you skip between tracks on your infotainment...does it skip the first 1 or 2 seconds of the song? It does for me, and it's annoying...like the song starts offbeat.
I live next to Dension corporate, so I will make a trip down there to figure this out next time I'm in Long Beach.

I did notice that a couple of tracks when skipping through did start a second or two in..
but most seemed to to start right
the controls seem 'flittish' at best
tried what you said, using the cd select buttons, that doesn't work, or maybe I pushed it too many times and I need to just press one and wait, there is a delayed reaction for sure - so maybe it needs time - I'll try again

Do you happen to have a picture of the ipod install in your Audi?
I had considereed putting mine in my other car at one point. I didn't even think of the Audi. Can you tell me approximately what materials and installation costs? Any regrets? Do you have to give up anything ie. xm, cd changer etc. to use the ipod?

this is the only pic I have:
the dension + ultrasport sal's cable were about 300 I think (can't remember exact prices) install took a couple of hours at whatever your local installer's rates are
you don't have to give up sat or cd changer

i have the EXACT same problem on my car, supposedly you press "6" and then >
you can access the ipod user interface but it doesnt wanna work on my car. i wonder if all audi's have that prob. if you find a solution lemme know.
