Default Pirelli 240 snows or LM 25's

will be buying snow tires shortly. Tirerack has Pirelli 240's for $185 each and LM 25's for $234 each. I know the LOM 25's are better, are they really better for the extra $200 (for a set of 4)

Pirelli and LM25 owners please let me know your opionions.

Thanks

Default think about it this way....

Would the $120 be an issue if it meant possibly keeping you out of a ditch or off a tree one snowy night?

Default LM-25 are too new to say much about them. LM-22's are amazing....

and my understanding is they took all the complaints of the 22's (wear etc..) and fixed them in the 25's. I would highly recomend the 22's or 25's to anyone.

Default I agree, I love my LM-22's and have never felt safer driving in snow. You might also want to.....

consider the Dunlop M3's. A lot of people say they are as good or better then the LM-22/25's and they are cheaper too.

Default Neither-- go with the Nokian WR or RSi

You'll have to search for a place that carries them, but they are the best, from what I've been told. My WRs go on this afternoon...

Nokian's are awesome, but they don't perform as well in the dry and rain as the others mentioned.

There was a similar issue with the LM-22's last winter.
