Default Really? People I know say the WR is really good in the wet stuff...

It's an all-season, so the ice traction isn't as good as the Hakka2, for instance, but it's a good, solid V-rated winter tire that can be run all year. And, it's about $40 less per tire than the LM-25

The LM-22 pisses me off, due to the fact that you're buying half a tire; the snow & ice compound is only about 1/2 the tread. Did they do the same thing with the LM-25, or does it have the multicell compound all the way down?

just bought the LM-25's from tirerack. shipped from delaware to chgo. for 30 bucks in 1 1/2 days. i considered the Dunlop Winter M3's but the availability of 235/40-18's was iffy at best. They weren't available thru tirerack and just tires told me possibly 11/29 @ $240/tire. I did read some positive reviews of the Pirelli 240 snows on tirerack, but the one from an S4 owner was outright negative. The Chgo. winter driving season hasn't begun yet, so i'm still 2-3wks away from putting the Blizzaks on my 04 S4. Will post first opinion after the first rip down the Edens(94)in snow/slush/freezing rain.

Just put on the WR's a week ago, and love them. They are alittle more noisy, and smooth out a bit after warming up. Overall, I like them and they have the severe winter rating from the Govt. No doubt they are nice. I have been running them on our A/R for a while and like them there as well.

cant tell that much difference. slightly less firm in cornering. a little smoother on bumps.and i assume a million times better in snow or rain,.,
