Pirelli Winter sport 240's..... How are they as a snow tire?
How are they in the snow and rain? Do they handle well enough in the dry? (I like to take turns fast!!!)
thanks

yes, I did research, and talked to a few stores. LM25 replaces the LM22 which was very much lauded
the consensus seems to be that if you drive a lot in snow, the Blizzak is better, but if you drive most of the time on dry cold roads, the Pirelli gives slightly better handling.
Also, unlike tirerack, most of the other stores sell these two tires at approx the same prices, e.g. 1010tires.com, tiretrends.com

The one tire guy I trust more than anybody in the world
Told me that new LM25's kick the 240's butt. Of course it's all just heresay on an internet forum, but I trust my tire guy implicitly.
Either way you are 100x better off with snow tires than summer or A/S rubber.

Re: Pirelli Winter sport 240's...Had them on mine last WInter.
... and they were fine (for winter tires) in all the situations I encountered.. They will be going back on later this month.
BTW - I went through two sets of Pirelli Winter 210As on my B5 S4 and they were fine also.
