Default Please tell: difference between: Engine Power, Wheel Power, Dissipate Power and Rule Power

Got a bit confused. My car has been on a dyno and gave the following figures:

Engine Power: 272.0 kW (369.6 Cv)
Wheel Power: 202.8 kW (275.5 Cv)
Dissipate Power: 69.2 Kw (94.1 Cv)
Rule Power (DIN 70020): 283.8 kW (385.6 Cv)

So?

Default Oh and some other figures of the Dyno:

Max power was at 6502 RPM

Max pulling power 465,7 Nm at 3829 g/m

Atmosphere pressure 989 mbar
Air temperature 31 celcius

I'll try to scan the plot one of these days

What are g/m, mbar, Nm, and celcius? We understand ft/lbs, fahrenheit, etc. Math wizzards?

Default I don't know WHY I know this stuff...

Engine Power is Flywheel Power.

Wheel Power is Power at the Wheels.

Dissipate Power seems to be the difference between the other two figures. This would mean that it is the overall losses in power between the flyhwheel and the wheels.

I suspect that Rule Power is the power when measure by the DIN standard 70020. This is a standard that allows better engine to engine comparisons because it must be measure under specified criteria.

CV = Steam Horsepower - a old measure of power used by the French.
C= Cheval (French for Horse)
V= Vapour (steam) This is where that old ugly duckling the Citroen 2 CV gots its name. It had the power of about 2 horses.

Cheers,
