I put on 400 miles the first night I had the car, driving up from LA.
I made sure to vary the rpms from 60-115mph the whole time, I was extremely obsessive as well. I didn't keep at one speed for more than 5 mins.
Now I was thinking what if what I did, putting a lot of "wear" the first night on the tranny, basically breaking it in nicely and consistently without having cold starts...would have helped the tranny?
Remember, I didn't keep at one RPM.. Varied the whole time from 750 to 4k (yes, put it in nuetral at times on the highway).
Anyway, I know it's a faulty design by Audi, but what if having a long distance drive with a lot of shifts early on in the life of the car actually helped?
Please answer the poll with the long distance mileage you put on early in the car's life (only if you did) and whether or not you have experienced the significant problems JD's tracking.
Thanks.

It was just a note for people like you not to come on here and say "driving 360miles straight at one speed is a horrible way to break in the car".
My point was a lot of consistent use of the tranny while the car was warmed up, etc.

Unlike you that needs to talk to yourself with mutiple posts. I doubt there is anyone that can disagree with my points made here:

The poll is merely asking the opposite of what you interpreted.
I'm asking what if early long distance trips lessened the likihood of tranny problems.
