Default "the old M5 was not an impressive car"??????

You are high.

That car will go down in history as one of the best looking, best performing 4 door sedans in history.

And will still smoke our S4's, and is very close to the slush box, porky RS6.

Default Tip is better in high traffic city but....

other than that reason, a "sport sedan" is always preferably going with a manual especially this rated "10" transmission by Car and Driver on May 2003 Issue. More importantly, it is even one point more than the manual M3.

Default Man! 44 k for a C6! I couldn't find a dealer who didn't want...

to mark up the C5 by 5k over MSRP 3yrs ago.
I would expect them to do the same with the C6.

Default Have you driven one??

I agree that the M5 did look great and had a great engine. But drive one back to back against an RS6 and you won't be that impressed. Now granted, if you just want some grins, turn off DSC in an M5 (or an M3 for that matter)and it's a hell of a lot of fun to hang the back end out around every turn. Not terribly practical in the real world and a quattro equipped car will beat them on the track.......but fun none the less.
