I remember several of us had this issue where we have a loud high pitched scream/whine noise coming from the motor on cold startups until the car was warm.
If you remember, I even mentioned thinking a bum was screaming at me (I'm in berkeley, ok?) and we all had a good LOL about that.
Anyway, so do you guys still experience this? Do we still consider this normal? You can never show this to a tech because the car is always warm by the time you get there. My only option is to leave it there overnight one time.

Almost sounded wrong. But I guess that's what you guys are talking about. If I heard that from my car I'd be right at the dealer demanding an explanation. Weird.

generally i get in the car and turn the key to the accessories postition (you can hear something moving around in the engine, i assume it's pressurizaing fluids or something, or just waking up the electronic elves)after about 4 seconds i
turn the car on and sit in it for about 1 minute while until the rpms drop down to normal idle (900 rpm) and then i leave.
I gradually work the engine up to speed, i keep it below 3k rpms until the oil temp is up, and theni work it up to higher rpms...
am i being super ****?
i know it sounds like alot but im used to it and im usually not in some super rush so it just comes naturally.
