It was meant for a goofy line--hence the cheeser face. You're slow.

Default hmm, an AWD Porsche in the curves is better than an S4 in the curves

makes sense to me.

Default No. You should have been owned and then some.

I currently drive a 2002 996 C4s, which I am in the process of selling (to be replaced with something more practical; I have to downsize to one car only). Having driven my car for a few years and a B6 S4 on a few spirited test drives, I can honestly say that if the C4s driver was competent and trying, you would not have had a chance. The S4 is rated at 20 more ponies and likely has more low end torque, but the Porsche has you in the weight, suspension, tire and gearing categories. In a straight line, you should be able to keep up, but as soon as you throw some curves into the mix, the S4 has no chance of wallowing its way ahead of the C4s.

Before I get flamed for that last remark, please let me be clear: The B6 S4 is the second-best handling sedan I've ever driven (after the E46 M3), but is still night and day compared to a Porsche. It is simply a different type of car: a sports sedan vs. a sports car.

In an even pairing of drivers and intentions, the C4s would walk away with a first place trophy in speed and good looks. The S4, however, would walk away with the trophies for value, comfort, practicality and interior design. It's a great car, and if I can justify getting another gas guzzler, there will soon be one in my driveway.
