Default is it possible to dye alcantara into black or dark grey?

i was thinking to stop by upholstery shop near me and ask them but before i thought i'd ask this Q here...
while light-colored alcantara looks fine i think it would look better if it were dark-colored. (euro version?)
i have no idea how m$ch it will cost and will it leave any color stains on my pants.

has anyone explored this option?

Default No idea, but where do you live that you had TWO B5S4's stolen?!?

Not that the B5's were hard to steal or anything, but either you have **** luck, or you live in a bad area...

Default I've re-dyed leather seats the same color before...

It's not really a big deal. And going from a lighter color to a darker color would be the ideal direction. I can say it's gonna take some patience. You'd have to remove the seats, clean them thoroughly, and probably spay them (as opposed to foam brush) to get that much even coverage. It takes many very light coats to get an even finish. Overall I was pretty happy with the results.

I think this is the company I ordered from. Don't really remember anymore.

http://www.leatherworldtech.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=LVRCK&Choice1=31&am p;choice2=Charcoal</a

It can be done.....and going light to dark always works better. Good leather dye-man can do it.

All you need is some charcoal and elbow grease.

Default B7's had black alcantara available.

I would try to find the OEM seats from a salvage B7 and sell your current interior.
