Is it possible to have a non-cpo s4, certified as CPO? Can i just pay to have it inspected?

Default I just talked to a dealer, said Audi's policy is that used Audis can only be certified at the...

dealer at which they were purchased...Anybody have any experience with this?

That's why he said to find a "friendly dealer/salesperson," one who will deviate from that policy

dealer has to inspect the car prior to selling it. it costs the dealer around $1200 to offer the cpo warranty..

I bought from a priv party and I asked the dealer I go to and they said it'll cost about $1500

Default Huh? How does that change my response? The "policy" limits CPO to only when Audi sells the car

I never said anything about the cost, just that a friendly dealer/salesperson would give you the opportunity to pay for such a warranty. Without deviation from Audi's policy, you cannot buy such a warranty outright.

Default It has always been my understanding that a CPO car must be "owned" by the dealer.

AoA apparently will not allow the dealer to deviate from this policy.
