Default all about the same, here's teh main differences..

Stongard (based here in Seattle, ok bellevue wa.) is 6 mm thick, 12 mm on headlamps and fog lights. it's a SINGLE piece.

all teh others are multiple pieces and aren't always as smooth.

they barely show up. they save your paint, they can be taken off at ANY time with out damage, *but why would ya?* and are covered under a product warranty (stongard's is awesome!) btw,

tehy cover the front leading edges, mirrors, door edges, handles & bout the first 8 inches of the hood.

it is (other than aw mats and v1 the BEST must do mod even if ya don't belive in mods, it's something that can be waxed, buffed, cleaned etc and is amazing for appearance.

I hope that helps.
David.

Default I have 3M's version on my Nogaro Avant...

I forget the exact name of their product. It was just under $500 (installed) for the front & rear bumper, hood... my guy even put it on the front part of the fenders.

I would recommend having someone install it that can produce 3M certification for the product (or something equivalent if using a different brand).

Default nope, that's dealer cost, ( I also checked with the vendor)

for the 04 s4 including front, fogs, head lights, door handles, door edges (all 4)including rear hatch and front.

Default I can see how a single piece can be good, but what if you need to "repair" a section where a chunk

of rock flew at it. Would you need to replace the whole thing for example?

Default well.............

the idea is that it won't happen, if it's that bad, they (most likely) will take it all off, and replace with new. hence the guarantee!!! and it DOES NOT damage the paint.

as for my car being "proof" well it's black and I' learned my lesson on my 01 s4 by waiting 1 week and 2 rock chips to make the appt. LOL. so this time before It even gets driven, it's "going to be covered! "
