Default Problom with my key FOB

I took delivery of a 2005.5 B7 S4 Avant last week...and have noticed in the past week that the key FOB (remote key unlock/lock) feature does not work under some circumstances. Problem is, I can not get it to duplicate..it just seem to happen whever it acts up. It has already happened 5 times in the past week. Oh, and battery on the FOB is not the problem..

Some instance for example:

1. After pulling up to a parking lot....i turned the ignition off...and about 3 minutes later..walk out of the car and the FOB doesn't work anymore. Either I have to lock the car using the actualy key and insert into the door handles.....or....sometimes I get in the car, restart the ignition...and turn it off right away...then the FOB work.

2. Get off the car at my destination, lock the car with the FOB..no problem...and off i go. Come back half hour later....tried to unlock the car with the FOB....IT DOESN"T WORK!!! Only way is to unlock using the actual key.

This is driving me nuts...wats going on?

Oh, and when it malfunctioning....BOTH FOB's don't work, not just one.

Default I just had that problem in my B6.....

Have the dealer recode the keys. If that doesnt help it could be the remote keyless entry computer. Vag-com codes would help in this case....

Default I had / have the exact problem....

I had both of my fobs go bad, and it was just as described only mine continued to get worse, and then stopped working altogether. Took it in, they ordered new fobs, and I went back a week later to get them programmed. It worked fine after that FOR A WEEK, and now I am back in the same situation. Both fobs no longer work. I've been too busy to call them back, but I imagine it will just be a new set of keys again. I believe there was a TSB out (I don't have a copy of it) stating that fobs with a certain letter identifier were bad.
anyone have the TSB?

Default i recommend leaving your window down and just sliding in dukes of hazard style, no need to lock

the car and you save time sliding in through the window...haha
