If you can't spin the wheels, cornering in the wet, then you're nowhere near the traction limit

and you need to corner faster.

Link? I've heard numerous times that the balance was supposed to be near 50/50

Dunno how the hell they achieved that however, short of addig a few cinderblocks to the trunk.

There's no point spinning you wheels

& have to back off & lose speed. Rather slowly build up speed through the bend with good throttle control so that you can be hard on the gas as you exit. 6 individual throttle bodies gives you the kind of hair-trigger throttle response no turbo car can match. I know because I also own a 1.8T.
