Shouldn't effect the tranny, but it doesn't make any power for the car, for us folks out here in CA, using 91 craptaine.
Plus, I beleive this is a 'solder in' type of chip, not a reflash like GIAC, APR or Revo..

Where ?
I gas up at Shell all the time at Burbank/White Oak.
No 93 octane there.
Just the 91 Craptane, known as V-Power.
CA emissions laws don't allow 93 octane.
