Question regarding tire pressure
I just purchased a 2007 S4 for my wife and I asked the dealer to switch the summer Conti tires for Pirelli P-Zero All Season high performance tires 235/40 ZR18. When I looked on the door jam the recommended tire pressure states 44 psi for all 4 tires. That seems alittle high for me. I am going to set them at 37.5 all around. Any suggestions?

Need more info...sedan? avant?
2006 Sedan says 44 front, 32 rear for normal light load driving.
I think the Avants are higher in the back.
I've kept mine near the factory and haven't had any problems that I know of. But then again, I'm no tire expert. Doesn't matter, dealer apparently doesn't know what to set them at either so they just spin the wheel of numbers and go with it. :-)
Good luck.
Eric.

37.5 for the front tires is too low! Mine are 44 psi on the front and 38 psi on the rear.
If you have rear seat passengers or lots of weight in the trunk the Audi manual says 44 psi all the way around. Otherwise, the rear tires should not be inflated as much as the front.
