Default questions about a 2004 and the new MMS NAV

will it work on 2004?
how much would it cost (labor and parts)?
how hard would the installation be?

TIA

Default Well....

First there are 3 units out there. Nav+ W/ MMI Software, Nav+ (old style) and MMI. These are the only three that can be used in the US. it gets expensive, just buy a B7 it will have it.

Default good point... so just to further clarify... i was talking about the RSN (MMI) one...

the newest one found in the B7s...

the "old style" works in the B6s, as do the maps...

Default Could you elaborate?

What happens to the maps?

I was hoping I could pick up a B7 MMI unit for my B6 once it comes out...

Default well i don't exactly know how/why they don't work but...

the guy who sold me my Nav+ told me that it was really easy to install the Nav RSN/DVD unit but the problem is with the maps... i do not know in details what the problems are but I would guess they just don't show where the car is located and don't track the car... but as i said i don't exactly know what's up there...

i just know that whenever someone finds a work-around, i'll be getting one... the TMC unit is now also integrated within the Nav unit... so it's even easier to install...
