V1's are continuely rated the best for $400, but....
for $300, its hard to argue with the passport 8500. They usually rate right behind the V1 in the all important X and K bands. I've had mine for 1 year and it has saved me at least a dozen times, and I don't do alot of highway driving in PA where only State Police are permitted to use radar or laser. IMO.. you can't go wrong with the V1 or 8500.

Yup. No local cops have it. All you have to do is look for painted marks...
on the pavement which is usually an area for a local cop to time you to interpolate your speed. But local cops do not seem to bother for the most part.
