Default Reason for dip in dyno graph...?

If you look in my pic poster, you will see my dyno graph from AWE's dyno day. My current mods are AWE RES Catback, Hyperflow Intake, Miltek Downpipes. I was wondering why this dip is in my graph at about 4700rpms. I think the dip caused my low numbers. When I compared to other graphs from the last shootout, all other graphs where linear. I had good numbers until the dip, what could have caused this? Fuel Filter? Thanks for any input.

Default I also have a slight dip, but it seems the DP's are giving more tq from 2.4k til 5.2k

The dip at 4.8k looks like every S4 graph that I've seen. My question, if it was a fuel issue, wouldn't tourqe be affected also?

Default Thats what I can not understand, I was making good tq numbers...

Horsepower was going good until 4700-4800rpms, thats when it dips down and does not have a high peak. When I compared with other graphs my numbers where matching up other runs that had a peak of 380-385, the hp numbers were identical until that dip.

Default I've been looking at other graphs of B6's

they all seem to have a slight dip in the same area of 4.7k-5k. I think the problem with your and esfo's car(although I haven't seen his) is higher up in the rpm's. Compare it to mine above and you'll see the peak should occur above 6.3k, and your car just doesn't seem to get there.

The problem I have with the fuel issue idea is that I think you would see a dramatic dip in the power curve if this was truely the problem. The curve seems too linear and similar to other B6's that make ample power without issues.
Another quick check that might be a good idea would be to have a look at the CIA. Now I don't know alot about which one you have, but in the past I've seen CIA cause a car to actually loose power due to turbulant air flow issues. Some of the B5 guys there on Saturday where also discussing this and have gone back to stock airboxes and intakes for this very reason. Might be something to think about.

Good luck and nice talking to you on Saturday.
Mike
