I was just wondering about the feasibility of replacing the alcantara inserts with a different color aftermarket. Does anyone have any idea/experience with what this would cost/entail and if it's even possible?

There will be an S4 at my dealer in a couple weeks with the exact color/options I want, except that it has the silver alcantara which might be a deal breaker for me...would love to have black alcantara put in (and not wait 3.5 months for a custom order!)

just fyi, by custom order i meant black leather interior (i wouldn't get the alcantara if i ordered the car...neither the blue or silver really do it for me. that's why i'm curious if i can replace the silver with black aftermarket).

that does custom auto upholstery for Porsche/Audi/Benz/etc... I've seen 2 Alcantra interiors from them - one was an S8 and one was an '01 TT with Alcantra inserts. Not cheap, but not riddiculous either. I'll try to find the name from my buddy who owns both cars mentioned above. I know it is on Rt. 3 just east of West Chester, PA
