Report all DBW throttle and other safety issues to NHTSA, that should get Audi's attention.

The rev behavior listed as the most common DBW issue is annoying, but behavior of the engine in neutral or with the clutch disengaged does not a safety problem make.
OtoH, things like hitting a "rev limiter" at 4500 RPM as happened with Ron O's car definitely is, but AoA's giving him a new vehicle anyway, so...

So far no one's <i>ever</i> reported a blip of the throttle revving the engine to 7K RPM in gear, only with the clutch in or in neutral.
No one in the "outside world" is really going to care one whit how the engine behaves when it's not in gear...
