Default Re: I don't want them on my 05

And I clean as much as I can reach in and around my engine too, after a nice bath for the exterior and leather treatment inside...A dirty engine! Not ME!!

2nd. I added these to my '05 also. Cleans up the engine bay.

Default After seeing the covers that came on my '04 I would be doing the same thing if I bought an '05.

Engine compartment looks much better IMO with the covers.

Default Do you know the part that goes on the coolant tank?

That is a mystery, don't see it on ETKA for the body, coolant tank, or covers sections. Looks like it should be a larger version of the ball screw used on the other covers.

Default It was cheap of Audi to even delete these parts. It really cleans up the engine bay.

Default Dang, I did not know 05s did not have it

I like 'em, though my mechanic pointed out that I should have them off at least while out on the track as they trap heat. The V8 does not need that. For every day I have them on and like 'em.

I think you need a different coolant tank. I just retrofitted a part to hold it in place.

That's what I did also. Large socket head screw works fine.
