Don't have my book on me.
BOTH my Reverse Lights are out.
I highly doubt that they both blew out within 3K miles.
Is there a fuse in the fuse box for the reverse lights ?
If so, what number, so I can replace the fuse and see while I'm backing up at night !! ;-)
thanks,
kj

Basically, when the car engages reverse, the switch is activated and the rear lights come on and the sideview mirror goes down.
Test: put it in reverse. Make sure the mirror switch is set on the right-side mirror, and see if the right-mirror goes down for reverse-view. If so, then you know the switch is good and most likely the fuse.

I know where the fuses are.... just didn't know which one might be for the Rev. lights.
ANYWAY...... as you said, it's the switch.
the Mirror doesn't drop down either, so.....
Thanks for the tip MA.

They are really sweet cars. I'd go for a 997 over the 996, just because they are more raw.
The x50 package is freakin' sweet. That is some super power, and the turbo is a sweet sweet machine.
The 997 S comes with the turbo brakes, PASM is standard (don't get the ceramic brakes, not necessary). Car and Drive just matched their 996 turbo 0-60 a montha go. (3.9 seconds to 60)
It's pretty fun. ;-)
For a little more fun, you can even get 20's and still have room. :-P
